He knew he'd have to explain things sooner or later, but he didn't figure it would be this soon.
"Let's set up camp, then I'll explain if you really want me to," he said, walking behind Iza, his head down. As he walked, he noticed a little bit of blood that looked to have been dropped recently and he couldn't help but wonder what caused it. He hadn't seen the creature's blood land anywhere near here, and yet, there was some right now.
He looked up and saw Iza holding her stomach and figured he knew what the problem was. He wouldn't say anything to Saza if she didn't first, but he sure as hell would say something to her. Even if she was a firebender, she wasn't as evil as the ones he had seen before, and even if she did seem to act a bit... Odd, she was still kind enough not to either kill the serpent, or let him fight it off alone like they both could have. They weren't so bad, and so he should do what he could to help each of them respectively.
"So, Saza, about this boat you're going to be trying to capture? How are you going to get past any earthbenders that may be guarding them? Don't get me wrong, you both have proven yourselves more than capable in a fight, but. They're earth benders, you know, they throw freaking rocks at you, and make rock shields that can protect them from almost anything," Shiro said, knowing full well the annoyance that earthbenders and firebenders had for each other. In some cases, it was more of a hatred than an annoyance.
"What's more, if you go to Ba Sing Se, which is the closest place to Serpent's Pass to have any ships, they'll have a lot of earthbenders just walking around. All of them in all different skills, so there's a good chance you won't be able to steal a ship easily, or even get near them without some help, right?" he asked, feeling this may be the best way to pay back this man, even if it weren't the best thing to do at all.

“Your right Ba Sing Se would be problematic, and that’s why im not going to Ba Sing Se. I am going to a navel base not Far from Ba Sing Se. On the other side of the pass there is a fire nation camp they have the kind of ship I want. I am going to liberate one of them. I’ve given some thought as to how… and I think a plan… but a water bender would help… a lot.”
Saza made his bed roll and sits down on his bed. He takes a stick and begins to draw in the sand. The image of a dock and a few boats.“allow me to inform you of my plan. All boats have a rudder attached to there back. This is what allows a ship to turn. On a metal ship the rudder is closer to the water then on a wooden ship. But its basically the same. My plan is simple we sneak in at night if we have your help then we do so from the water going under the water we come up to the rudders of the ships. It would be dark and there for simple… we weld the joints on the rudder, the ship wont be able to turn. We do this on all the ships except one. that ship will be a small vessel sea worthy and fast. we sneak abord that ship and disable the crew, silently… if anyone makes a sound it becomes difficult for us to do the final bit of the plan, and then once the crew is gone and out of the way. We cut the line to dock and set sail under the cover of night. The fire nation won’t be able to pursue and once were far enough away we can switch out the fire nation flag, for my real colors.”
Saza felt impressed with himself as he leaned back. The plan was short and simple if it worked then it would be easy. The first part was the easiest part. Sabotaging the ships would take time but that was it. The hard part would be killing the crew with out a sound. Knowing that place they probably had alarms. Tripping it would bad.. Vary bad. But if it worked they would have a fast metal ship… no storm would take it down. and with a quick paint job a few modifications he could have a new ship.

Iza sat down on a small boulder that was elevated a bit off the ground but flat enough for her to sit on. She sighed holding her stomach still as she listened to her Captain express a plan, pretty basic 'pirate stealing a boat' plan. She sighed again taking in a deep ragged breath closing her eyes. "..." she looked over her shoulders and then shrugged a bit as she started to undo the straps of her armor pulling it down slowly wincing, she wore a dark brown tube top, but it still allowed much of her upper body to still be seen. She winced looking at the red of her abdomen her whole abdomen was solid red as it started to bruise feeling around she was glad to notice her ribs were not broken but it hurt to breath.
"Hey Sir, i can say i can get the crew of the smaller ship taken care of better alone.." she suggested and volunteered herself for the plan. "That and if we go to another town I'll put on a different outfit or whatever" she added mostly under her breath as she continued to examine her body removing her whole leotard of red armor and teh belt of her hip armor flaps being in her dark brown tube top and underwear not really being modest for any reason. She still wore her leg and arm armor but at the moment she looked like some type of cheap amazon warrior hooker.
"Oh and i'd also like to say-" suddenly Iza touched the area over her stomach and she shook violently as she lurched forward and gagged up a wad of blood and bile. "..." she shuddered and continued to sit lurched over her hand clutching at her chest as she coughed up more stuff.

He watched as she pulled her armor off, and saw the large red mark. Though he'd have said something, he did his best to stay quiet about it until she started coughing up blood and bile. He rushed over to her and looked at the bruising. "Iza, I think that you had a rough day, you're in no shape to try and take on a boat of Fire Nation solders, nor are you in much of a shape to act calm about this," he said, moving his hand to her abdomen, checking where she groaned in pain the most and where she didn't groan as much.
"It feels like you have a couple of bruised ribs, and something inside you ruptured. You need to go to a doctor, and fast, or you will die," he warned, rushing back over to his bag and pulling out a few articles of clothing, shirt and pants for the most part, and brought them back to her. "Wear these. No time to rest now, unless you want to find a new first mate Saza," he added, looking back at the man, a serious look on his face. Something that he had hoped he wouldn't have to keep on much longer until this happened. "Saza, do you have any first aid supplies?" Shiro asked, realizing that was something that he didn't have either.
"We need something to stop her from getting worse, fast," he looked around for any herbs that may be growing on this somewhat desolate plateau. He was hoping to find something that if brewed right, she could drink and it would help her from coughing up blood and bile, but nothing.

Saza looked around first aid supplies? Who was this guy kidding. Saza didn’t have any of that stuff. And if he did it probably would have been put to use healing his own injuries back when he had washed up onto the shore… that and aside from cauterizing the odd cut he had no idea how to treat a wound like this.
Saza got up and shook his head. a look of concern and worry passing over his face. he had lost many people before but this felt different. This one provoked a feeling of concern and even worry. She was bleeding internally and that was never a good sighn he had no idea what he was supposed to be doing all he could do was shake his head to the question.
“I don’t carry first aid supplies damn it Shiro I’m a pirate not a docter! But what about you. you’re a water bender I’ve seen water benders heal wounds before. Can’t you do something?” Saza was genuinely confused after all wasn’t a water bender capable of healing wounds he had seen it before. When he had raided the southern water tribe with captain Takara. So why couldn’t this one water bender do something.

Iza winced trying to move away from Shiro only to fail as he pressed on her stomach making her grown weakly. "D-dammit, don't touch that" she grunted, growling slightly. She sighed a bit as he moved away just sitting there hunched over panting slightly. She saw the clothing and blinked her vision bluring slightly. "... " she snatched them and winced tugging off her arm armor and scarf. she threw the shirt on and then shuddered holding her stomach. ".. Avatar Christ " she grumbled so that no one would hear.
She slowly worked on her leg armor, growling if anyone came near her like a dog as she slowly put the pants on stumbling back on the rock , as she was barely able to get the pants up and tied. "I've had.. I've had worse" she grumbled darkly glaring at them both as she stood up stumbling a bit still holding her stomach wiping blood from her chin.
"We're fire benders, our first aid is: burn it and hope for the best" she tried to joke before coughing up more blood wincing trying to breath calmly but it came out as ragged huffs. She looked at her gear on the ground, “Well if someone could clean up my gear, and and” she hacked a bit into her hand, “A-and keep me from coughing out a lung or my stomach I’d love that about now” she shuddered sitting back on the rock hugging herself around the middle. She hated being like this, Iza hated being at the mercy of those around her… It made her upset and seem to growl at the two like a wounded dog.

His sister had taught him a little, but he hadn't used it in years. "Well, if she's going to live then I guess nows the best time to see if I remember what she taught me," Shiro thought to himself, pulling out a canteen, seeing as his water skins were empty and he didn't have time to refill them before. He opened it, set it down and made Iza lay down on her back on a sleeping bag.
"Okay, just breath slowly and take deep breaths," he said, bending the water out of the canteen and taking deep breaths himself. He was talking to himself more than anyone, remembering the words his sister had told him. He made water gloves out of the water and slowly moved his hands above her stomach. He focused and closed his eyes, imagining everything that he could do. He let the water slowly seep into her skin and into her body, then slowly and carefully, he made any open wounds that were inside her, and out of place slightly, move back into position. While doing so, he thought of healing the organs, and returning them to normal. As he did this, there was a faint glow from the water as it moved like he wanted it to.
He could hear her heart beat and he could feel all the injured organs slowly healing themselves. The most he could do was stop the bleeding and let it heal on it's own. When he had finally done that, Shiro let out a long breath of relief, extracting the water from her and bending it into one of the water skins. Not something to drink with now that it had be used to heal something like that.
"That's the best I can do, you'll still be in pain, but I have some tea that should help your throat and help you breath easily. A good night's rest and you should be able to bend without much pain, but you're in no condition to fight anyone for a good few weeks from what I can tell," he told her, standing up and getting the tea leaves out of his pack. "Here, Saza, get some water from the stream and heat it up while mixing this, into it, and it should be fine," he said, handing the small poursline container to Saza. "About three spoonfuls and it should be enough," he added, making sure that he didn't put too much or too little in.

“You know that we are on a land bridge right? There are no streams around here, and all that water down below is salt water.” Saza spoke as he filled a flask with water from a small fresh water stream and then passed it to Shiro.
Saza was grateful to see that this guy could maintain the position of doctor, and was grateful that Iza would live. He went back to his sleeping bag. And other items looking threw supplies. He pulled out a bit of food. and began to work on making it.
Saza carried a few small logs with him in his bag just a few short things and he now placed it in the middle of the camp and ignited it with a punch. It was useful being a fire bender. With that it was possible to boil water and make food. He looked around shortly something seemed like it was missing but he couldn’t really place his finger on it.

Iza sighed as she was made to lie down on the sleeping bag. It was annoying, but the pain in her abdomen was worse, and she wanted that to stop. She knew they could not make it across the land bridge to be healed. She hated to think of being Waterbended on, especially by a guy she could tell had no real skill in healing! She calmed herself thinking of things that would calm her down, and probably disturb others. The Firebender shuddered as she felt herself being healed by waterbending, it felt like her insides were being washed out. It felt horribly different. She shuddered again when he was done slightly moving away from him.
Iza sighed rubbing her stomach, it still felt tender, but it was barely to move again. She grumbled a ‘thank you’ to Shiro as she looked down at her outfit she was wearing now, ugh it was ugly! Baggy shirt and pants that did not flatter her at all, “I’ll just get new armor or put on my real armor after we get a boat” she thought out loud as she pulled out her hair tie letting her shaggy hair fall to her shoulders fluffing it up a bit. Walked over and sat down next to Saza her hair a bit of a fluffy mess.
“You’re replacing that Oil you used right? It was a cool attack but you messed up out use of lantern and cooking fuel.” She noted to him huffing a bit looking like an escaped lunatic with her current style and hair fashion. She grabbed her Lute and sat it in her lap as she tightened the strings a bit before starting a play a slow and relaxing tune, “Now get to cooking the concoction that Shiro wants to give me… and it better not taste too bad” she grumbled exerting a rather pissy attitude muttering darkly to herself.

"Saza, I'll get a cup full of water and show you, I'll take care of the straining needed to remove the salt from the water," he said, walking over to the edge of the little cliff like area they were on and focusing on bending as much water as he could up and filling his water skins with them before bending more into the air near him. He needed to refill his canteen anyway, so this may be the best chance to show Saza how to remove the impurities from salt water if they were in a pinch.
He came back to the fire and kept bending the water above him with one hand, while taking a metal pot out of his back. It was small and almost cup shaped, and it was rather crude thanks to him having made it when he was younger. He bended the water into it until it was full then bended the rest of the water into a cup that they would use for Iza's tea water. "Here, let me show you how to do it without bending," he started, holding the pot above the fire and letting the water sit in it. He waited until it was boiling, then took the pot out carefully. He had pulled out a second cup while letting the water come to a boil and poured the water into it, then started pouring it back into the pot and letting it boil twice more before it stopped boiling and became distilled.
When the water was calm on the surface, even in the fire, Shiro pulled the pot out and set it on the ground. Then he took a clean, very tightly woven net like fabric out of his bag and covered the top of the pot when it had cooled off a little. Then he slowly drained the water into the cup he had been using to help in the process, causing just the water to drain into the cup and leaving the salt in the pot. "There, this is what you have to do whenever you need fresh water but find yourself in a vast supply of salt water. It'll remove the salt and other impurities from the water, and leave you with clean drinking water, and some very good cooking salt," Shiro said, bending the water that he had just distilled into his canteen and emptying the pot into a leather pouch. "Oh, and because that attack helped save our lives, here, it's not much, but it should be enough to pay for the oil," he added, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a couple of silver and copper coins, then handing them and the leather pouch to Saza.
"Distill the water in this cup and instead of having to use this fabric like I did, I'll bend it out, and into the cup, alright?" he finished, sitting down by the fire and watching it burn.

Saza watched of course he knew how to distil water. he had lived on a ship after all. He had pulled water out of a fresh water stream… so why not just use the stuff in the flask? He sighed what ever. He just did as he asked and continued to distil water. keep your head down in these situations, it was usually the right thing to do. after all with one injured member of the team there wasn’t much he could do.
“Tell me Shiro what information could you possibly need to tell the Earth king? After all if you were heading to Ba Sing Se, I would imagine that is your goal? Again im only asking from the point of a passing interest I don’t care and apart from getting my ship, I wouldn’t dare ask you to stay unless you wanted too.”
Saza spoke the truth he simply did not care for any of what was going on with the war. He simply cared for his own profit and hay information was usually worth something. Unless it meant death for those who carried the information. Still what ever was worth bothering the earth king was worth bothering him… he figured that much was true.
