Shiro is level headed in most situations that his kind heart or enthusiasm doesn't get the better of him. ❚ Enthusiasm. Shiro is almost always willing to battle when it is to protect others or himself. ❚ His speed. Shiro is light on his feet, and can prove it when he needs to flee, or when he needs to make a fast attack. ❚ Strategic. OTHER FACTS ❚ Shiro got his nickname because of a fight he got into and the shape of the waterbending he had when he first waterbended. It took the shape of a phoenix for a few seconds before falling apart on him. He has never been able to do it since. Shiro's past is as most others from the war, tragic. He and his little sister had been off of the island and close to the Fire Nation, but Shiro had never worried, his sister was of course a great Waterbender, just like their parents had been before they died. This day however was much worse than they could ever have imagined. Shiro and his sister's boat began to shake violently, and a titalwave emerged behind them. Through trying as hard as they could, Shiro using what little water bending he had learned to help his sister, they were able to make an air bubble around their boat as it went under the water. As it came back up, there were some minor holes here and there that his sister fixed, and then they noticed it. The Avatar, still younger than most would think was fighting his own father, the Firelord. As they watched the battle, seemingly no victory coming from either of the mighty Firebenders, a stray bolt of lightning, seemed to find it's way aimed at Shiro and his sister's boat. In a last ditch effort, Shiro's sister pushed him out of the boat, onto a bit of ice that she made. As soon as Shiro was off the boat, the lightning struck the soaked wooden craft and caused it to explode into a rather violent fireball. Shiro looked around for his sister, having always been told that things that Waterbenders made out of their bending powers, always dissipated when they could not bend anymore. As he continued to look, his boat started to drift back to the island they had been staying at before they left, and soon Shiro gave up hope that his sister was alive. As days went by, Shiro became more and more frightened that the war would find it's way to his and his sisters small camp, but it never happened. It wasn't until almost a month later that Shiro found his sisters body drifting onto the island. She was barely alive, but her life was fading in her eyes, and Shiro couldn't do anything to save her. Ever since that day, Shiro has hated both the Firelord and the Avatar, the latter more because if he hadn't attacked that day, he would still have his sister, and they would both be happily finding other Waterbenders that had migrated away from the Northern and Southern Water Tribes. Special Abilities (Benders) BENDING ELEMENT : Water/Ice SCOPE OF BENDING : Attempting to remake a Phoenix shape out of ice that he can use as a weapon (Will constantly fail until he becomes a Grandmaster, and accidentally do a "Reverse-Water Whip" if frustrated by his failure.) Water Whip: Basic Waterbending technique. (Shiro can preform it, however it will be be shot in reverse until Intermediate.) Ice Shield: Basic ice shields. Used to block thrown or shot items. (Shiro can preform this basic skill rather well, but only in select positions until Intermediate.) Dome Ice Shield: Shiro can make a dome shaped ice shield that protects himself and others. (Will be a thin sheet of ice that is easily broken until Mediate. Can only protect himself with it after that until he becomes a Trainer, otherwise the ice will be thinner to cover more space.) Wall of Water: Basic wall of water, similar to the Ice Shield, but more effective against Firebenders than anything else. (Shiro can make small ones to start with, but as he becomes Intermediate, Mediate, Trainer, ect. he will be able to make bigger walls of water.) Spiked Ice Rain: Shiro can cause bulbs of water fly into the air, then shoot them as spikes of ice down at enemies. (Until he becomes a Master, the spikes will turn back into water before hitting the enemy.) Weapon enhancement: Covering any bladed weapon with water, sharpens it into a blade, and hardens it into ice to double penetration of his throwing weapons. (Fails horribly at it until Trainer.) Ice Spear: Creates a spear out of ice that he can throw at enemies and bend as if it were metal by turning it to water again. (Turns back into water upon impact until intermediate. His ice rope will fail until he is Mediate at waterbending.) Icy Extension: Shiro can make an extension to his katana, by bending water around just the tip and hardening it into an icy blade. He can only do it once per day though, otherwise he could risk breaking his sword. (At beginner level only words for 3 seconds. At intermediate level, only works for 5 seconds, at mediate level, works for 30 seconds, and at Trainer and higher can be held for a minute and can be done twice a day.) Ice Weapons: Shiro can make ice weapons like Shuriken and Kunai, and throw them like the real thing. (Until Mediate and Trainer these weapons will turn back to water upon impact.) WEAPONS : Katana, Kunai, Smoke Bombs, and Shiriken. PERSONAL ITEMS : Black Tabi socks, Monk Sandals, and Black fingerless gloves, all given to him by his sister before her passing.
