OTHER FACTS ❚ Kuai's master taught him true firebending, where it was about passion and balance, not power and death. SCOPE OF BENDING : Kuai creates a fast, superhuman speed for his firebending, making up for firebending's lack of defensive moves. His style is built to overpower the opponent quickly, and incorporates many close range attacks, mainly daggers of fire and round house kicks. When facing down a superior foe, Kuai will revert to firebending's few defensive techniques, or use common firebending moves in a defensive style. For example, when fighting a waterbender, Kuai will create a wall of flame to evaporate the water. When dealing with ice, the same general technique is used. For combat against firebenders, Kuai uses the common technique of blocking the incoming firebending with a jab or kick. If far away from an enemy, Kuai will take time and generate a powerful and highly accurate bolt of lightning, attempting to stop an enemy in one bolt. He is also known to use blasts of combustion, though they can be very inaccurate thanks to his low level of use. To close the distance, if the enemy survives, Kuai will use fire as jet propulsion, blasting himself to fight the enemy in close combat. In close combat he will also incorporate his weapons into the firebending, heating or cooling the blades with his mastery of firebending.
