Special Abilities (Benders)
BENDING ELEMENT : Water
SCOPE OF BENDING :
Liang is a master water bender. He knows many and have created his own advanced moves. He is very resourceful and can control the area around him for his use. He can easily manipulate and take water from the sources around him. Whether it be from the air, plants, and sometimes even food, Liang can find any source for water.
He has made a technique of water bending that focuses as a more aggressive way of waterbending. It relies of quick, aggressive movements to quickly finish off the opponent. For example if he has the advantage he'll quickly attack the enemy with a barrage of quick strikes from ice and water. He usually tries to make a good battle ending combination at the very start of a fight. Even defensively the style is aggressive, when he has the disadvantage he doesn't slowly try to get a feel of the situation and try to use the opponent's strength against him. Liang will force an opening and quickly take advantage of it, most fights end after that.
His speed when bending is quicker while using this style. Most people aren't able to see his hand movements that well due to the speed at which he is moving them. His style tries to be effective as possible and use the least amount of energy needed. With this style he has defeated many opponents. The biggest flaw that this style has however is that it isn't much effective anywhere but close range. Currently Liang is trying to improve the style in order for it to work in longer ranges, (The style is based off Wing Chun)
Being a master bender Liang has learned many abilities. He has been quite proficient at turning water into ice and quickly making it into a weapon. In most of his battlefields you'll notice a vast amount of blood stained ice. He especially loves ice claws as they can do damage from mid and close range. Even though he prefers ice that doesn't mean he won't use water, his main use of water however is when he tries to be sneaky.
Liang is a great manipulator of water to prepare for a battle. For example he can make a fog and send it to a location to make it easier for his men to do things quickly and covertly. With that he can also make traps by hiding rivers and large water sources. Liang can also use his bending with other benders, for example with an airbender he can bend the clouds, make rain, snow, hail, and with an earthbender he can make rivers and lakes.
WEAPONS :
A long chain whip, in which the chains are shaped in a way where it can cut if used with enough force.
He also carries two daggers that have splits in the center of it in order to disarm people and to make the weapon lighter.
Liang carries a legendary sword that he had found during his travel. The blade of the sword is a icy blue. The blade gives off a freezing temperature. If stabbed or cut deeply and have the blade stay there for a short time the person will be solidified in ice. Liang doesn't use this weapon very often because it can start freezing him as well. He usually has it on his back, in it's scabbard, and wrapped in a special cloth to control the freezing temperature of the sword. In a battle Liang will have to wrap the cloth around the handle in order to wield it without freezing him.
