(-) Prisoners having hope. OTHER FACTS ❚Before she was born her mother was living in the Earth Kingdom in a fire nation colony. Her mother was the first of her family to move to the earth kingdom in hopes of a newer life. Sadly she was ‘attacked’ and ‘abused’ by an unknown male and after the attack she returned to her family in the fire nation. Hyun Ok was born and raised to be called a ‘younger sister’ of her mother. It was just a lie, no one believed it but no one was going to call a family out on the matter. Hyun Ok grew up sheltered and that was mostly due to her Bending, her family had not a single bender in it… let alone an earth bender, so the shock of her being able to move stone and cause cracks in the earth was something embarrassing so she was told never to bend. She did as she was told, keeping herself seprate from others at the academy and joined into the Fire Nation Military as a Non-bender militant. She spent much of her years in the Earth Kingdom, raising to the rank of a Major, and was enjoying the perks. One night during a surprise attack from Earthbending raiders did she, by mistake, earthbend to protect herself. It was a pretty pathetic attempt, but it was enough to freak the raiders away. She realized that she would need to learn her natural power if she was to be who she truly was, and by doing so would she reach the plateau she wanted to reach. Hyun Ok asked for early retirement, saying the traumatic event of the attack that had her lose most of her men left her unable to continue in the military. She traveled through the Earth Kingdom seeking information, soon just paying off a few Earthbending punks to train her, never revealing her origin. You pay anyone a good amount and they won’t ask questions. Hyun Ok returned to the Fire Nation and was approached by an old family friend that informed her that a job at the Boiling Rock was available. She needed the job seeing as her family was ‘unhappy’ of her return empty handed and appearing more outspoken then when she left. She took the job and after five years did she gain rank as the Warden. Her earthbending skills allow her to control the inmates, and only the older inmates and seasoned of guards know of her Bending. How she greets all new prisions is: “Welcome to the Boiling Rock. This prison is on an island of stone, in the middle of boiling water. I am Hyun Ok, Warden, you may call me Ma’am, Warden, or Lady Stone Heart, either one will be fine. I have you here as my guest, but you are never free to go… If you try to escape I will help you! By putting stone boots on you and telling you to start walking! Now enjoy your stay at the Boiling Rock…” |
Special Abilities (Benders)
BENDING ELEMENT : Earth
SCOPE OF BENDING :
Earth Columns created by swift strikes to the ground with her heel of foot or heel of her palm. These are usually very large and used to pin idiots to the ceiling.
Pulling and pushing the ground similar to the motion done to push and pull a carpet with her foot.
Can levitate stones and use them as shields.
Creation of dust clouds from the dust of the prison floor or courtyard.
Quicksand, where she can cause others to be pulled into the floor where they stand and can in-turn crush them or get them trapped.
Can cause small stones pillars to shoot out of the ground at an angle to strike at the target’s body.
Earthquakes, causing the whole prison to shake to warn others of her anger.
Much of her earthbending attacks are used in the form of Northern Shaolin Kung Fu. Creating the strong and swift kicking and punching attacks of firebending and the strong thick element of earth.
