Fei walked down one of the large business streets of Omashu starting at all the merchandise that was on display as she turned head from side to side, making sure not to miss anything that might spark her interest even a little. She had only started to make her down the a rather busy street when a she saw a green crystal bracelet sparkling on its display stand in front of a well sized shop.
She couldn’t help herself, she had to at least go over and check it out. She quickly made her way over to the shop moving faster and faster with each step, almost coming to run by the time she reached the place of business. Finally laying right in front of her was the perfect piece of jewelry to remind her of this visit to the great city. As she was admiring the bracelet the shop keeper noticed her and walked up to her with a huge grin on his face, clearly full of jubilance at the fact that this was a good chance to make a sell.
’’I see you have fine taste there young lady.”
Fei broke her gaze for a moment to look up at the man for a few seconds before returning her gaze to the bracelet, then she answered him. ”How much do want for it?” She was quick and to the point, the shop keeper answered her back just as quickly.”Oh. I will give you a good deal of five gold pieces.” This price didn’t seem to bother the young master in the least, even thought to anyone else this bracelet was not worth five gold pieces, it was worth three at the most.
Pulling out a good sized bag of money from under her robe, she counted out the money to the man.”Three, four, and five.” The shop Keeper then took the bracelet from its stand and gave it to her. “Thank you, come back anytime.” He said with a loud bellowing laugh although Fei didn’t pay it any mind she was just too interested in what she had just purchased. Her father hated the way she spends money and he would have hated this. She knew she really didn't need to buy another item that would weigh down her load even more she didn't know why, but she had to have it. maybe it was because she was on her way out of the city and just wanted another momentum.
As she walked away from the stand she returned her money to her robe and then slid the bracelet on her wrist, it was slightly to large but she really didn’t seem to care at all and although her expression on her face was not that enthusiastic, she was. She was way to interested on her bracelet to notice anyone or anything going on around her.
The streets were beginning to thin and becoming less and less crowed. Mail carts could be heard going down the delivery system and things seemed normal. Without much of a care in the world she started to make her way toward the main gates of the city.
On her way to the gates she noticed as small fountain out of the corner of her eye that was packed away in a small square at the end of a small alley. " The perfect place to refill my water skin before I leave." She said to herself out loud while walking down the alley to the clearing. It was surrounded on all sides by buildings. It also seemed that she was the only one their at that time. "Good." She thought to herself, it was the perfect chance for her to sit for moment.
She sat down on the edge of the fountain and pulled of her back her largest water skin. She popped open the cap and with a slow and graceful movement of her hand a large wooden bucket sized amount of water arose from the pool that was resting in the fountain. Then with another movement of her wrist the water slowly flowed into her water skin.
Fei popped the lid back on and then leaned back slightly looking up at sky, thinking of her next destination in mind. She thought she had one in mind the day before, but something felt different, a change of plans were probably going to be in order.
