Personality Sketch POSITIVE TRAITS ❚ Charismatic. Of course being the captain of the Dragon Fang and one of the leaders of the Avatar army, it could undoubtedly be considered a requirement for Red to be a charismatic young man. His ability to inspire hope within the ranks goes beyond comparison, adding to his excellent leadership. People are drawn to him, and he often times he tries his best to be the exact opposite. He is capable of leading and winning the most dangerous of situations. ❚ Clever. Whether it is on the battlefield or off, Red often is struck with brilliant ideas to cope with certain situations. His cleverness undoubtedly plays a vital role in assisting his friends and this battle for a greater good. When in puzzling circumstances, the young firebender often makes brilliant deductions that are of course cleverly placed. ❚ Passionate. Red's passion is virtually what drives him and keeps his determination sparked. His ultimate wish is a unified world at peace, and his passion for this single goal is remarkable, willing to achieve it by any means necessary. He is also passionate of course about his troops and his friends, though he may not show it often, his love for them is unconditional. ❚ Courageous. Undoubtedly yet another trait that creates a leader. Don't get it twisted however. Just because he is courageous does not mean he doesn't fear. Red possess the ability to trek into places where most people would not dare to go. He is definitely not afraid to go against the natural order of things. ❚ Intuitive. Red is able to analyze and comprehend a lot of things with little to no effort. Though a work in progress, the boy is on the verge to completely understanding the true essence of firebending. Apart from battle he is able to read emotions easily but would prefer to keep it to himself when dealing. NEGATIVE TRAITS ❚ Stubborn. Advice is the devil when it comes to Red, though he'll never admit it. He isn't exactly too fond of it whether it is good or bad. When he makes a decision, he's most likely to stick by it. It is virtually impossible to change his beliefs and loyalties, so it's advised not to even make the attempt. ❚ Reckless. Strategy-wise, he depends more on his intuition and cleverness and often times will do something and not think out the consequences later. In his mind, he believes that the moment you're trying to think out your strategy is the moment the enemy will catch you napping. His recklessness can lead to more trouble than expected, usually at the more unfortunate situations. ❚ Emotional. This is more of an internal thing, not exactly showing it too much on the outside. His emotional persona virtually compliments his recklessness, though he does not use rage and anger to fuel his firebending. ❚ "Humanly" Cold. This trait is a nice little contradiction. A lot of times Red will say cold and inhuman things to his friends or troops, disregarding their feelings. But at the same time he'll end up feeling bad about it. When it comes to his enemies, depending on the degree of their honor he'll undoubtedly be extremely cold, though mercy is not a stranger to this young firebender. A rather confusing fellow. He often times finds himself having internal conflicts with his emotions and personality. ❚ Persistent. This could be a positive or negative trait actually. His persistence can sometimes pay off, but also sometimes get him into a lot of trouble. His stubbornness undoubtedly plays a vital role in this negative trait. When he should virtually back off and re-think his plan, Red is the type to persist and continue to go forward with the initial plan. This supports his recklessness and emotional being as well. (-) Extremely Hyper People. (-) Emo People. (-) Leading. [Contradiction  ]OTHER FACTS ❚ ~ The fire that Red produces is a beautiful emerald green color. We've all seen a green flame. He is one of those firebenders who is closer to true firebending, being taught by an extremely well known master who taught him how to use his passion and unconditional love while intensifying the heat of his fire. He was not able to bend green fire however until he fought with his father. This in which is when the boy's amazing passion and incomparable drive awakened within him, giving him the strength to win the skirmish. ~ Red of course being a firebender prefers heat. To support this craving he is usually caught in battle always wearing his black jacket with white fur around the hood. Outside of battle he won't sport it as much. ~ Red has a scar stretching in the middle of his face between his eyes that he received in a battle against his father. Although it is permanent and the scar will remain on his face forever, the boy is often mistaken for and called a "pretty boy". ~ Red had an epic duel with his father who was a great and respected Fire Nation general. Once the Fire Nation had decided to side against the avatar, Red decided to follow Morzon because morally it was the right thing to do. Enraged, the boy's father attacked Special Abilities (Benders) BENDING ELEMENT : Fire. SCOPE OF BENDING : It is easy to point out that Reddick was born to be a master firebender. His rebellious and stubborn nature prevented this from happening at a quick age. After the dangerous duel that awakened his emerald green firebending, the boy had to flee the Fire Nation in fear of being imprisoned. He decided his only path was to assist Morzon in his quest to become the avatar. Due to his flight, he was unable to master lightning directory and redirection, therefore preventing him from attaining the title of firebending master. His firebending in general however is of course top notch, for the boy can perform his movements at high speeds and with extreme efficiency. Usually he incorporates his firebending with his sword fighting as well, being an expert with sword handling and of course his sword choice alone. He wields the sword as if it were another extension to himself, and the fire yet another extension of himself. When it comes to the manipulation of fire, he has a general complete understanding and mastery over the element. Of course his fire is a hotter than usual emerald green, one in which the original firebenders also used. Depending on the situation, Red is able to use his firebending of course to his advantage. If he needs to create space, he can easily use his master-like bending to erupt flames form either his natural, elegant firebending form, or incorporate with his preferred sword fighting form. He is of course capable of devastating long, short, or mid-range firebending attacks, ranging from creating miniature fire tornadoes to more advanced fire walls and jet propulsion. Firebending of course has few defensive capabilities. Red has created his own technique incorporating his swordsmanship to create more defensive opportunities. For example, his sword is able to fend off some bending attacks, but with the incorporation of fire he is able to save himself probably from more devastating ones. By twirling his sword around his body, he is able to wrap himself in a defensive ball of fire that can fend off multiple side attacks. However of course depending on the devastation of the attacks it can be overwhelmed. And due to the constant twirling the duration of this technique is not very long, only capable of fending for some seconds to a minute. He has yet to master this technique. In a more lesser form he'll simply twirl it in one, creating a whirlwind of fire that will fend off that one attack. This is mostly used as a last resort, when absolutely necessary. Otherwise he remains on the offensive side, creating opportunities to strike for himself. On a more advanced note, Red is able to perform heat redirection in which of course is used to either heat or cool an area. In closed or tight spaces he is able to dramatically increase the heat to also cause a rise in air pressure. Before the battle his father taught him combustion, but was only taught the basics and was unable to truly go in depth. Since firebending possess limited defensive abilities, Red excels in the art of evasion himself. It is only wise so it will compliment his offensive onslaught. WEAPONS : Firebrand - Red's choice of weapon given to him by his mentor before his untimely demise, Deng Yoshinto. Deng was accused of false charges and sentenced to death when Red was merely fifteen years old. He promised that day forward to master his weapon and use it in his old mentor's name. [Ignore the trigger] The weapon's hilt is slanted and has a lion engraved on the base of the sword. The sword was crafted out of an unknown substance. An extremely durable weapon that is very efficient in battle circumstances. Takes years to master and get used to.
